Tom Bailey

Director/ writer/ editor from Reading/ London, U.K.
My films often take the shape of dramas about the mysteries of ourselves and the world around us, often expressing this through the inclusion of supernatural elements.

Before coming to film, I cut my teeth in painting and household DIY, a combined education that informed my approach to everything.

In 2010 I was accepted into the Berlinale Talent Campus.
That same year my films 'The Creature' and 'Jittertree' screened at festivals, the latter being nominated for the Best Experimental Film Award at Screentest & Best Young Filmmaker at Fastnet.

I have been commissioned by The Roundhouse Camden for 'Bug Lightning'
& The IdeasTap Shorts Fund for 'Street Spirit', which had contributions from NFTS graduates and The Mill.

Currently I am finishing 'Lowdown, Up Above' a no-budget short I shot in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
